monopora used to be pink

I was given a monopora that used to be pink and is now tan.
Water:
Tates 2
trites 0
ammonia 0
ph 8.2
alk 7
ca 410
phos 0
I have never had one of these guys...Is he dead? :thinking:

what kind of lights do you have. i recieved a montipora that was bleached .. then after a while turned tan ... then after another while is starting to turn back bright green :))

he's probably just browned out...they can get that from not enough light sometimes or too much light...your parameters look okay though, try to get that Ca up a tad.

I wouldn't worry about the calcium as much as I would about the alk.
What type of lighting do you have?

Plenty of lighting... get alk and Cal up just a little...how is the flow? How long have you had it?

Do you think I need to take the screens off. Put new bulbs in and this is when it all started. Added screens 2 weeks ago and shortened the light cycle to let them adjust.
Mistake on the Alk. My Kh is 6.4 and Alk is 2.29 Salifert says sea water has 8/2.9. I am off a little but not to bad.

Changing lights can have and effect on corals. That is likely it. They probably will get their color back.
