Monster House--Sorry they didn't show more of it!

Oh, they glossed over the tank so fast! My fish guy was there for days plumbing it, and he was barely shown. I wish they had slowed down and given everyone a good look. Maybe the still photos they will post later will show it better. And, I will post some once I find batteries for my digital camera.
BTW, everything in there which is not live rock, or fish, is made of rubber. I had hundreds upon hundreds of dollars worth of that rubber stuff in there, most of which we took out. Someday I'd love to put in the real stuff.
Well, my heart was pounding through the entire episode. I'm glad to see that they don't show me making a moron out of myself!
Getting into this hobby, like that, was indeed quite a shock. And they make it seem like someone else is going to care for it. NOT! It is all me, and however much fish guy I am willing to pay for. Thank goodness I found my way here!!!!! And thank you all for your help and advice. I'm a major newby and I need it!

OHHHHHH I am SOoooooooooo jealous!! I was so afraid that I was going to miss it,,,but I saw every second of it and I loved it. I kept thinking, man am I ever glad that I was not the one who had to clean up the mess....hahahaha. I too, kept waiting for them to show more pics of the tank, but at least i got to see it. And now I can put a face to your name. So, were you thrilled with the outcome? My hubby really wasn't, lol. But enough rambling, I am thrilled for you and your family, but jealous! Congratulations on your "new" house, and I hope it brings you many years of immense pleasure.

OMG, you have no idea what it was like trying to keep them in line for a whole week with a camera crew on the premises! And at the same time, I had to do it without raising my voice, and with a smile on my face. I'm just glad none of those kicks went wrong, because it was all in play and nobody was crying! But one wrong kick, and oh how would that look if the other boy collapsed in tears? I was on pins and needles all week!

Hey Pam what a great thing to have happen to you. I bet no other fish person on here got in to the hobby that way. I sure wish they would have a show on just fish tanks or something. How bout "monster tank". i think that would get huge ratings hahaha. Pam how are you doing water changes are you haveing them bring sea water to your house for that? It was a great show tonight congrats on the house and the tank

The fish guy is doing the changes. He mixes it in a giant trash barrel. It will be a long time before I am up to that! But hey, I know how to change the filter floss. :D

I posted this a week or so ago in the photography forum, for anyone who didn't see it. Not the best picture, but I used up my batteries for it!

What happen to the racoon buttefly angel (not sure) i swear i saw it on the show. Anyway what a beautiful house. Did u take down some of the decor after they left , what do u use that observation tower for? What a beautiful tank.

The tank, as shown on TV, was overstocked. Also, I was freaking out over the cost of feeding them, because there were several other biggies in there eating ball after ball of frozen food. And, some of those biggies were not beginner fish. The fish guy and I had a chat and decided he'd remove some of them. He took out a Lipstick Tang, an Emporer Angel, the racoon fellow, another fish that looks like a giant orange clown with blue teeth. A week later I also had him take back the Porcupine Puffer, that was spending all of its time alternately bobbing on the surface, or tail curled on the bottom and not eating. The fish guy took it to another client with an established tank, where it is happy now.
We took down all of the nets and ropes, except for a little bit still hanging over the tank. Also we peeled off the porthole decals on the observation deck. There were shells everywhere, and so we dropped a few handfuls into the aquarium, and gave away the rest. There were also a few harpoon-like things that I put away so no kid would lose an eye.
