Monti cap troubles

I recently bought a monti cap and some star polyps from a local guy. They were looking great for a couple weeks and now the monti looks like it's turning white on me. It's my first batch of corals and I got it thrown in with the others but I still don't want it to die on me. Any advice if its save able or what I should do? It's in a biocube. I just bought a brand new tank it is about to be transferred into so I'd like to put it into the best possible situation to survive. It's just under 10k and actinic lights right now. Any ideas?

I need a LOT more information. Water parameters, what lighting (you only gave light color), waterflow, equipment.
Do you have other SPS?
How old is the system?

It is a compact fluorescence lights. The standard ones that come with the biocube. They need to be replaced but I'm changing out the tank this weekend to a brand new biocube so that will add alot to the power if the lights. I bought this one used and it's sprung a small leak. The water flow is the main pump and a 250gph power head. The tank just has a maroon clown small CUC and the new star polyps which appear to be doing great. The system It is around 6.5 months old. The ph is right around 8.1 I don't have a ca or mg test kit as I was told regular weekly water changes
With a good salt would keep them in good supply. The only other problem I run into is the tank temp tries to creep up to 82 if I don't watch my wife on the house thermostat lol

Are you using any additives?
Doing regular water changes would normally supply everything you need except when something goes wrong. I know it's an added expense but if you want to be successful with corals you really need to know what your water looks like on at least a weekly basis.
Does your tank salinity closely match the water the coral came in?

I am not using any additives right now. I'm not sure what his salinity was though. My water salinity has been a pain to manage since the leak started. I am switching tanks tonight so should I add anything to help the corals or is it to late? I wasn't going to get it at first but the guys was trying to clear out space in his 180 gallon tank so he just gave it to me to clear space

I wouldn't give up hope on it yet. I can't think of anything to do to help at this point other than leave it alone and see if it can adapt.

Well I contacted the guy I bought it from and he said just alot of light. My new tank has the same lights but the bulbs are brand new and way better so hopefully I can move it tonight and it will rebound. I hear they are pretty hardy so lets hope it makes the transition. One for four isn't bad odds but I'd much rather go four for four. I appreciate the help maybe the new stable salt water will give it a good kick start in its new home...
