They will do OK but may not hold their color under a 4 lamp T5 fixture. If you do make sure they are in the upper half of the tank.

with ur t5 fixture, u will need to place the monticap higher up. also make sure u hv decent flow going across the caps.

I cant remember exactly but I think somebody said on here it should be around 20 times.
Like I said I have almost twice of much as you in a 29 and im looking to replace the less powerful head and a stronger power head.

I have a brick red monti cap that is doing really well in my 55. I have it under 4X54 lights (sundial) with individually contoured reflectors. I have the coral positioned half way up the rockwork. I have a lot of flow from my maxi jet mods, at least 25X. The coral is growing well and i hope to add some additional color varieties soon. I will post a pic when the lights come on.

That might not be enough flow. Ive got a 24 gallon with a Koralia 2 (600 gph) and a MJ900 (230 gph) aimed at my SPS.

i dont have individual reflectors, but im still gonna wait til i get more flow anyways. i was reading on here and people were saying that they try to have a turnover rate of 40 times per hour

T5 should be a problem. They are right up there with MH to me.
I have two 24W T5 HO bulbs over my 29 without reflectors and they do a lot better with my zoos than 130W reflected PC did.
I have a MH light coming next week, so I will have my T5 and MH which should be pretty cool

20x turnover is the least amount for sps, It is ideal to have 25-40x, and higher for sps dominated tanks around 40-60x.. i've seen and keep higher rates..
