Monti vs Coraline

I have a monti that got a little shaded for a bit and had a little die off. Now there is coraline growing on the part that died off. Should i be worried about the coraline spreading and killing the living part of the monti or will the monti, now that it's getting better light come back and kick it to the curb?

Once the Monti recovers it will grow over the coralline.
