Moon coral-white powder.

I just got a piece of Moon coral.
There are quite a few polyps that have like a coat of white powder around them.
Just wonder if that's normal?
If you know what it is, and if it's some sort of fungus, could you give me the name of it so I can search on?
thank you.

I don't think it's slime.
It's like a white film of fungus on the edges of some polyps. The rest looks fine.
I only have pics of it on blue actinic light so you can't see it.
I might wait til MHs are on then I will post a couple pics on so you can see.

Have you tried looking on wetwebmedia.com, an absolute wealth of information. Do the google search on this website and I am sure you will find the answer you are looking for. It is run by Robert Fenner, the Conscientious Marine Aquarist author. This site has saved me from many near disasters.
