Moonlighting Question

I know that the blue moonlighting promotes spawning and the livestock like it, but are there any cons to using a magenta LED in place of the blue for moonlighting purposes?

It's been reported it promotes spawing, but not sure if it's in concrete though....Moonlighting is more used for "our" pleasure.

would a 24" blue stunner be too bright to be used as a moonlight in your opinion?
