Moonlighting

Hi all,
Well I have been thinking of doing a moonlight for my tank. Is anyone doing this, if so what are you using? I have read where some folks use blue christmas lights, nightlights and some use a low wattage bulb - either PC or regular NO Flo bulb from walmart ( I guess a nightlight type ). Anyways, I guess I just like to tinker too much, but any info would help.
Thanks,
Josh

I run moonbeams-
They are small, about 1.5 " in dia.
They make the tank look really cool
I have 4 of them they were $80.00 a piece.
But there website doesn't work anymore.

I run a moonlight on my tank. I use a regular 25 watt incandescent bulb. Got fixture from Lowe's. Cost about $6.00 all together. Run it on my Aquacontroller for true moon phases.

Yeah....what happened to waterwerks.net????
They had awesome moonbeams for sale at $79/each. I wanted to buy a couple but when I decided to do so, they poofed on me :(

Hey guys. I'm not sure about waterwerks.net, but I did find another site that says contact them about pricing. I figured those interested might want to check it out :)

I'm w/ you R R...only we took our bulb fixture off an old comp desk so it was free...still had the bulb even :)
sorry, but things that say "call for pricing" usually are obsenely inflated or are out there in orbit far as my budget goes...would rather spend the $$$ on a new coral or maybe more LR :D

been running 2 40w blue bulbs on a timer for almost a year. when reg lights go off blue come on. just enough light for me to watch the action but not to bother the critters. the brittle stars and shrimp come on out of hiding.. 110gal reef.

The lowes light does not supply enough amps to properly run the incondestant bulb......
