I'm looking to add some moonlighting to my tank. I was wondering if led's from Home Depot would work? Is there any other ideas out there?

I would just go with the moonlight aquarium ones since that's what they're made for . I never had one so im not sure. Im not sure an led would have the same effect.

Moonlighting can be done many different ways. LEDS' have just become the "norm"...I have found that the lunar light moonlight kits by current are about the best solution, price is real nice too. 15.00 fpr the first module, then 11.00 fo0r each additional module. I've got 3 on my 135, probably going to add 2 more soon. 3 is fine, I just want to vary intensity and control seperatly.

I just took a look at those. They seem nice. What color is the best, Nocturnal Blue or Moon White?

you could definately rig up a moonlight system with a few white and blue LED's and a resistor and and the appropriate adaptor. Got to know and have some sodering skills.
