a lot of different fish can go in there, they dont seem aggressive except slightly when its feeding time. they seem to get euphoric from the smell of food. some people will say not to put them in with aggressive triggers ( clown, queen, undulated ) because the trigger might find the eel to be a "chew toy", but the more passive ones are fine.
snowflakes eat almost anything, imo. silversides, krill, squid, clam, etc. variety is good, too, so feed all kinds of stuff.
did the tank cycle with the eel in it? they are rather hardy and often will survive tank crashes or infestations with bacteria, ich, etc. i love my eel, im rambling on now, sorry bout that. good luck! :)

coorsxman, why dont you go and buy one of the bigger eels, like a green eel, or a tesseleta, be careful whith tank mates though but it would be sweet to keep one of those two!

my sfe is freaking crazy. He tried to escape the first night but is fine now. I put a PVC pipe in the tank for him to chill in...he loves it. I highly suggest that for anyone...just make sure you use one thick enough. the sfe attacks my hermit crab (it's a very large hermit crab) and when he gets hungry he'll come out of the pvc and roam all over the tank. quite a personallity. I can actucally hand feed him (I feed frozen silversides) if I wanted to. Cool guy.

I have a lot of snowflakes. They are a relatively easy moray to keep. They need a lot of hiding spots. I feed mine goldfish and damsels and some frozen too. They will go with just about any fish. They will eat anything that they fit in their mouths.

I highly recommend putting a pvc pipe in for them to hide it. Just make sure it's large enough in diameter. I'm using 1/2" right now, but when he gets larger will put something diff in.
