What did the dogs do wrong?

My one year old seems to leave a chocolatey slime all over the tank every time he goes near it. I thought of using some kind of electric fence to stop him but the duct tape thing sounds good do you have to bind there hands first.

All this is scaring me!! I have a 1 year old who took his first steps lastnight!!! He already leaves handprints all over the aquarium glass. So its going to get a lot worse, huh???
