More on Democrats not paying their bills.

Didn't Sarah Palin try to write off living expenses when she was living at home? Which is totally legal if the expenses were incurred at the mayors house, but not where she was living at the time.
I consider myself in the middle for the most part, but don't act as if Democrats are the only people always in the wrong (mostly what i see on this board).

Dems aren't always wrong, just a large majority of the time.

I just don't see why if someone cheated on their taxes either side... why can't they treat them like you or I would be? Some get hammered, some are immune.... some drive drunk and drown people and accuse others of inhumane treatment. Too bad I only get 1 vote ;)

Paxton confirmed then that the rally was a "DNC-sponsored event" and that the party was discussing the itemized bill with the city.
Are we maybe reading into this a little to much???? Have any of you ever had to go over and dispute a large bill? I have worked for companies that have both taken time to pay and receive for things like this. I am sure it is an inch thick itemized bill. If it goes on another month maybe. We JUST got payment on a bill that a client was disputing from September. I really don't see it as being uncommon.

There is no excuse for this. Ever dispute a tax bill with a city? This is no different. You either pay the bill and then get your money back or you pay late penalty fees. The city should just hit them with a 5% late fee each month until the bill is paid.

There is no excuse for not paying a bill agreed. However I dispute that it's different in this case since there is an itemized bill. Taxes are a different monster alltogether, getting a tax refund is different than overpaying in a buisness contract. You think that the city or government pays their bills on time. Let me tell you they don't. The government owes my company $50,000 along with a city here in OC. I am not saying it's right I am just saying that they are not exactly timely either. It's really silly that this is in the news since I really don't think it's that big of an issue. ALOT of agencies take FOREVER to pay bills. Including hospitals and such. I would expect someone with a massive bill to question things they are not sure about.

They also pay no price for their wrong doings.
You can cheat on your taxes, and run the IRS
$90,000 in cold cash
You can run Fannie Mae into the ground and walk away with 90 million and be praised by your democrat/socialist friends ( Franklin Raines). RAines ought to give that money back and go to jail.
Like Jim Quinn says, "When you are a democrat it's different."

If a city in OC owes you money I feel for you. My sister works for the school district in the country seat there and they are millions in the red. Things look bleak.

You guys just crack me up sometimes....

Why?
You like tax cheats running the IRS?
You like Franklin Raines walking away with 90 million dollars while Mae/Mack crumbled around him?
I expect more from our leaders. Randall Cunningham is in jail and rightly so. Why is "Cold Cash" Jefferson not in jail? Why do we have a tax cheat running the IRS? Why do we have a President who got a sweet land deal from Tony Resko?
Why? The conservatives pay for their mistakes, and the democrats get paid for their mistakes. The press forgets its job and looks away, making the mind numbed forget all about the corruption and look for hope and change.
Palin will pay more than Raines, and the Treas. Sec.

Why should there even be a corporate tax?
Why not a flat tax without all the loopholes?
Get rid of the IRS, and save money.
Yu should have to write a check every quarter for your taxes, not have them taken out in a "stealth" way. then maybe people would pay attention to where their money goes.
The price on the gas pump should be BEFORE tax. Then when you pay they add on the tax, that would open a few more eyes!
