morning scare

Just wanted to share this all with you and calm down some as my heart is still racing. I woke up this am and as always I went to check on the tank. As I looked at the digital thermometer hanging on my tank it read 93.7 degrees. Needless to say my heart skipped a beat and panic mode set in. Along with a few expletives was like great everything in here is now cooked. I opened my cabinet to check the thermometer in the sump and saw it was 79.3 felt the water and it seemed fine. I ended up changing the battery on the main tank thermometer and now they are within a few degrees of each other. Not a good way to wake up. Tahnks for listening....

Yeah, that's a great beginning of the day, thermometer is reading above 90 so you think all your livestock has died, then you crawl into the corner slamming your head in the wall saying your a failure. Then you realize that nothing is wrong, only the thermostat is broken. Yeah, I know, it has happened.

"panic mode" I hear you. Once you determine everything is really OK it takes at least 2 hours of chillin in front of the tank to get the heartbeat back down to normal.
