To be honest I feel the building of this structure is a slap in our face. I also feel government intervention to stop it, would also be a slap in our face. This whole thing right now is a lose/lose. Just like everytime Obama opens his mouth.

I completely agree with Darth... If it's private property, then we or our gov't have no say so...
But looking at the reality of the situation...not Logic, but actual reality. This is New York. And if that privately owned piece of property erects a mosque, I think every new yorker will all turn Bronx over night! Theft, vandalism, harassment to the workers... Not to mention, can they even employ the necessary manpower to make this happen?? I hope this project gets blackballed by the ny residences...
