Most Boring National Championship Ever

Even with a playoff system you'll still going to see a team get screwed out of that 8th spot. And the best team doesn't always win... But yeah they need something.
Yes someone will get screwed, but screwing the 7th, 8th, or 9th best team in the country for the lowest seed isn't as bad as screwing the potential #2 seed. I am not a huge NCAA fan but I watch the March B-ball tournament. Same would be true for a lot of fans if they turned December into a playoff system. I would even say make it 16 teams. Every conference gets an automatic bid with 3 or 4 at large bids.
As for the game being boring, I would agree. It wasn't because of the defensive struggle. I thought it was great that Florida had those 2 huge goal line stops and a blocked FG in the first half.
What made the game boring was the offense on both sides. I hated watching OK line up for every play, Bradford and the other skill players back off and look at the signal callers for 10 seconds. Boring...
And Florida with that fake hand off to the RB, Tebow keeps it for a 2 yard draw. That play is so slow to develop the OK D-line stopped them every time.

Yea, you guys should have been with some Florida fans during those two goal line stops, they were guying nuts! The Bradford audible thing wasn't so bad, it was the stupid icon timer, they keep showing. OU would line up, the producer would think Bradford wasn't going to switch the play, and every time they'd take it down and Bradford would call something. What was the point?

I think the injuries slowed the game a lot too. They were dropping like flies for a bit.
What did everyyone think of the HUUUUGE
hit on like the 4th play of the game? When Major Wright nearly decapitated Manny Johnson. That was awesome and we were going crazy....

The game was alright. Definitely better than those blowouts few years ago. I was glad Mr. RUN UP THE SCORE coach lost! He was the only reason why I rooted for Florida. But Utah should be #1!!!
WHich Mr run up the score coach were you referring too? There were two in the stadium

Tebow is good but over rated as far as pure QB ability. He is a great leader. He has the spark that can get the rst of the team going. It is sorta like watching Larry Bird play basketball. He wasn't a great 3 point shooter but it always seemed like he knew just when to nail one to put the dagger in the heart of the other team. Tebow is good at busting a couple good runs when it looks like the team is stalling out.
I think he would be a fool not to go pro. He can't prove anything else in the college game. Financially this is the time to move. If he comes back and they have a bad season next year or he gets hurt what happens. Matt Lienart came back for USC after getting the Heisman and NC and ended up being drafted number 10. Thats after going through 2 seasons undefeated and within a hair of winning a 2nd NC game.

hehe that would've been a personal foul in the NFL. He got away with it.

Remember when they blew out the OK St. Cowboys? They kept Bradford in it the whole game and were still scoring unnecessary TD's. That's the reason he got so many TD's(and winning the heisman, when we all know McCoy deserved it) ...running up the scores on everyone. So it was good to see stoops lose.

Well, considering the Oklahoma player hadn't touched the ball yet....It was pass interference. That's what I think.
That was what I thought when I saw it live...but after review the safety hit the WR and the same time as the ball arriving.

Yeah, except that the only way for the WR to catch the ball was to catch it around the defender. If you watch the above video, you will see that the WR touches the ball with his arms already wrapped around the defender, hence pass interference as he had no possible way of catching the ball. I see why it was a no call b/c it was so close, but in all technicality, it was interference. Now if he touched the ball (not hugging the defender) and then got crushed, it was a good defensive play.

Why not, that is why his team and not UT was playing that game.

I enjoyed the Florida/Oklahoma game. Alot of big plays in the game. Now to get rid of the friggin' BCS setup! It's time to go with the playoffs setup!

the BCS and their greed.

That was 100% pass interference. You can see the ball kept travelling on the same path because the ball never even got touched. The majority of the game was pretty decent officiating, but that was a BIG blown call.
I know I'm from oklahoma, but I'm good about being impartial. I would've said it was a foul if the tables had been turned.

Florida is just a bad about putting the hammer down on hapless teams. At least OKI state was making a game of it for a while.

I don't know about interference but isn't it a penalty to use your helmet as a weapon in the college game?
