The reason I post this is because I watch posting patterns...and, don't take this wrong but, you really only seem to post humorous anecdotes...whether or not they are in tune with the subject at hand...hmmmm...

Monalisa. No pics right now sorry, I dont own a digitial camera, cell phone or even a TV. I prefer to read and make things when Im not working or in class. I make it home about 2X a year where my "system" is located, Have had several tanks over the years ranging from a plywood 150G first inhabitants were African Cichlids then later converted to a salt tank, a glass 55, a glass hexagon, an acrylic 25 and numerous others Ive made throughout the years. But down here I have a mean AM radio and an old PC , I might be able to sketch a pic of. :hilarious Since you watch posting patterns then you have already read this.
I sense a subtle unspoken challenge of credibility because I dont have a picture to show. If so just ask outright, I hope you wont think any less of my opinions or advice because I dont have any pictures to show you. Maybe you can elaborate as to how this relates to knowledge or experience? And thats the scoop believe it or not.

I've always wanted SW fish tank for a long period of time. Especially after watching finding Nemo. I was discouraged by a lot of folks about having a reef tank at first cause they made it sound so hard to keep. But after talking to a few reefer friends, here's how mine looks now with a new 90G Bowfront that's cycling right now, getting it ready for most of my corals to move into. So I'll end up with 2 reef tanks, one 55 and one 90. I'm also running an aggressive tank, gonna upgrade it to either a 55 or a 75. :happyfish
Here's my new 90G Bowfront RR, getting 125 lbs of LR next week.

Here's my 55G Reef with 10g sump/fuge

After 25+ years of freshwater I wanted more challanges.
I had tried salt back in the the early 80's but not with much luck, and after my 4 year old
boy saw that #### movie I knew it was time to try again.
You newbies have no idea how much easier it is now compared to then. Very few people to
give advice, was no internet in my area, and if you think some LFS people are bad now....

I agree with cresh1966, I had a 55 gallon about 20 years ago when, if you had one piece of live rock you were really doing something. It was for decoration not filteration, alot has changed in the way of information from then, I think that is why it was so hard to get things to live back then. Technology has changed like you would not believe....And the Internet has really helped. This hobby is a lot easier and the systems, though more complex, seems easier to maintain. Yes, it was expensive back then, and it's expensive now, but don't you just love it?
