Mountain Climbing Hermits

Ok,
So as some of you heard I had a complete wipe-out yesterday. Now the few "survivors" mostly about 15 hermits of the original 100 hermit population refuse to touch the sand. All my crabs are cuddled together on the highest rock they can find. Does this tell me anything about what caused my wipeout? Even my sand-sifting stuff is climbing.

would need to know more about your substrate really. that is a very bizarre behavior for hermits and sandsifters tho.

Hmm, I completely missed the wipeout, but you've got my condolences, never a pleasant experience. Can you link to the thread so I can read up on what happened, maybe lend a hand?
