Move/New Tank Setup

Stay tuned, I'll probably be working on framing and drywalling this week so i can line the stand up, cut the hole in the drywall for the tank, and set the tank up on the stand so i can begin filling it and start cycling it. My pumps and skimmer should be arriving any day, and I'll be ordering the lights this week. I already have new filters for my RO unit so i can start producing 300 gallons of good water. Things are starting to come together!

I don't think that stand looks sturdy enough.... just kidding! Is the tank going to be in-wall? Definitely keep us posted; it looks like it will be a great set-up. Now you have to figure out what you'll fill it up with!

Awesome setup....:D Very sweet......
I made a stand very similar to yours but i removed the center support as it would hold 10 elephants. I removed the center so that i had access to the bottom for a sump wet/dry. BUt again, very sweet.......some day..........

Steve,
I'm glad the move went well for you! The 300 looks very nice, and I look forward to seeing some pics of it when it's finished.
By the way, I like the DIY light stand you came up with! :D

Well I haven't been on the boards much lately, since I've been very busy at work, and with the new house, but here is a quick update. Most of my equipment has filtered in by now. I'm just waiting for the light fixtures and my circulation system. Here is a pic of the stuff that has come in on my stand.

Nice assortment of gear you've got there! That Sequence looks huge next to the Iwaki.
Any plans yet for another Beckett in that second port on the skimmer???

Not right away. I had it built like that so i could add one in the future if I wanted. I didn't picture it but i also got a good deal on salt, so I have enough for the initial 300 gallons and then some. I also bought the eggcrate and screen for the sandbed. Hopefully next week I can start organizing and plumbing.

Obviously I've been busy/lazy with this project, but I am making progress. I'm only missing one piece of equipment, and the wall should be nearly completed by the weekend. Here's a shot of the wall being framed around the tank.
