Moving A 250, How Much??

I HAVE BEEN OFFERED A 250 gallon tank with box already drilled and everything to run it besides light and skimmer. It is in CO... How much do yall think it would cost me to ship it here to Atlanta? I've never moved a tank that large before. It is 8 ft long, 3 ft tall, and I think 2 ft deep. ANY info would be appreciated.

That tank alone weighs about 300 lbs (or more if glass). It will probably be quite expensive. Check FedEx and UPS websites for price quotes. I imagine it wont be cheap!

My 110 weighs more than than. I'm thinking it will weigh about 500-600.......

go with a freight company. I had a bed moved from NC to Dallas and it was about 300.00 and this bed weights 1000lbs.

Check out www.freightquote.com I think they find the lowest cost out of many estimates.

I agree with going with a freight company...way cheaper than UPS, etc.
P.S. from those measurements, it is more like 359 gallons.

Make sure to check into insurance and policies on damages. If not properly packed to the carriers specifications they will avoid paying for damages. You might even check with an aquarium manufacturer for packaging tips for moving an aquarium. Good luck!
