Moving a mini-reef

We need to move our mini-reef, a 10 gallon tank, from the basement to the first floor. Is there anything specific we need to know to do this? I think we will need to remove all of the rocks... will our corals on the rocks be okay if temporarily exposed to air, i.e. in the time it takes to move it from tank to bucket? I've never moved a tank with live corals before.

Be fast and gentle...the coral can stand a little air and be unharmed..sponges however must never be exposed to any air at all. If you have a sponge place it in a plastic zip lock bag underwater, release any air bubbles from the bag while still submerged before removing it from the tank.

It's only two corals so far... the polyps are attached to a rock and we have one frog spawn that is new.
Do you think we can move the tank and sand, or will we need to scoop the sand out? It has a lot of life in it....
