I have 2 clowns that are good sized that have been in my tank. i have 2 anename's that are by each other. i just got a new pair of tiny little periculas and i want to move one anename to one side of the tank. they are being wierd and hosting in one of my corals which is not making the coral very happy. any ideas? my buddy has the same problem. he just bought an anename and they still try to host in that coral.

Are they two different species of anemones?
They will ultimatly do what they want to do, you may move it once or twice but contiually is not good. Like I said ultimatly it will decide what is good for it.

yes they are the exact same kind purchased at the same time. i have never moved them and they both seem to like the rock they are on. how can i get him off the rock.

I know this is of absolutely no help, but I've read on a couple of the website when I was shopping for an anemone that most of them will die if their "foot" gets torn.
Also, I moved the whole rock right after I got mine, and it just went back to the original spot without the rock. I guess they just go where they want to go.

i'm aware of that but good thing to post. i just want my poor clownfish to leave my corals alone. lol. the poor corals don't even get to open cuz the 2 little boogers are always snuggled up in them.

I saw on another post where someone had a pair of clowns hosting a colt coral. I didn't realize they would do that! If they won't take to the anemone, is there anything you can do about it?
:notsure:

Trade the coral with a friend is what i did. i gave him my coral they were hosting in and he gave me his. we have the exact same metal halide setup and salinity so should be good. so far they are not taking to anything but i need to get that anename moved. the other 2 clowns won't let me get my hand near either anename. :)
