Moving carpet anemone off glass

I just got a bright yellow carpet anemone. He seems to be doing well and the clowns have taken right to him. Only problem is that he moved off the rock I had him attached to and has taken residence on the front glass. Is there any way to move him or should I just wait till he moves himself? Thanks

He'll probably move on his own in time, but you could try a flexible rubber spatula to SLOWLY work him off the glass. Anything sharp could cut or tear the foot, which could cause an infection or death.

i would just leave him if hes wants to move he will. and more then likely he will move again. if u try to move him off it will move back to where he wants to go anyways.

try to make the cave for it and dont let the water directly hit the cave. it should be ok.

You can use a credit card to get the foot loose from the glass but if it where me I change the direction of my power heads to get him to move if he doesn't move in a few day on his own.

My carpet moved a bit when I first got him, and now has situated himself nicely in the front middle section of the tank. He has buried his foot to the bottom of the tank, and has not moved for several months. They will move about a bit until they find their "comfortable spot" My saddle anemone used to be in a different place every other day! I just let them do their thing.

if hes up on the glass leave him, if its happy up there and wont move then it wont get to your corals if you have or plan on getting them.
