Moving Clowns to 10 Gallon

Hello, everyone.
I'm currently breaking down my 55 gallon so I can replumb it and start over with RO/DI water (and maybe upgrade to a 75 gallon in the process...). So I am going to move as much rock as I can and my two clownfish to a 10 gallon tank for a couple months. If I use tank water and put as much live rock in the tank as I can would I be able to put the clowns in that same day?

I had a 55 that sprung a leak and I had to do and emergency evacuation. I put two clown and about 15# of live rock in a food-safe tote and stuck a protein skimmer and heater in there and they were happy as clams. Just be careful with the sand, if you stir it up you may get an amonia spike, I did. I put the rest of the rock in totes with powerheads with heaters and didn't lose a thing.
Resealing the tank was another story though.
Good Luck!

Okay, that's what I'll do then.
Unfortunately the rest of my rock will become base rock, but that's what it started as so that's okay. It'll look better in the long run this way.
