Moving my tank.

I will be switching my tank about 6ft out of my room into the living room so I can see it more often. I will also be getting a stand with cabinet doors so i can hide all the wires and stuff in it (the tank i have now doesnt have any doors or walls).
I was going to tank everything out except the sand and put it into a big garbage can (brand new). I was thinking can I add some new Aragonite live sand ontop of my old sand? (my old sand is kinda "yuckie" :D) or will i have to cycle the tank again?

Thats the way I would do it. For the sand part....I would just leave the sand how it is and the Diatoms or red slime that is on it now will eventually go away on its own.

theres not even algae on it, it just looks dirty and whenever it stirs up it gets really cloudy. i was thinking about leaving like 5-10% water in there, and just stir the sand up really good then siphon the dirty water out and replace it with new saltwater.. will that cause my tank to recycle or will it be fine?

when the sand is moved or disturbed a big cloud of dust comes up almost looks like kaki smoke..
if i stirred it up would it loose it beneficial part? would it make my tank recycle?

I would think your cycle would be fine because you're not replacing very much of your water, it would just be like doing a routine water change. Also, my tank doesn't recycle when I vacuum my gravel (crushed coral) so I really don't think that's going to affect your cycle. I don't have live sand though, so you'll definitely want to hear from someone who does before you do anything. :)
