Moving My Tank

i currently have a very happy and very settled 55 gallon reef tank. I will be moving in august 1st (or before)with my gf 15 minutes away. cool thing is that i dont have to be out of my apartment until setpember 1st so i have a whole month to move! I was wondering what i should do to move this thing. I was thinking that this would be a nice time to upgrade to a 75 gallon and slowly trickle stuff over?? i heard this would be the best way.
heres the thing, i already have a nice stand / canopy for a 55 gallon, and i was wondering what i should do. should i keep a 55 gallon and move everything at once on one day , but just upgrade to a overflow drilled tank or should i upgrade to a 75 gallon with overflows and slowly add stuff for that month.
Mind you all i have a whole month to move since my gf would be moving in early, so thats nice. how should i go about this? should i set up a 75 and let it cycle and then slowly add my water from my tank? or what? im sressed!

Since you have the time, I would suggest taking your water change water over to the new house to establish bacteria in the new tank. Also any "old" media. Let it sit for awhile to stabilize. Then you can slowly start moving the critters over. I would start with new sand and/or live sand. Don't bother with all the sand from your tank, or at least the majority of the sand, this is your time to do a good cleaning of the tank. Only transfer a small amount of sand to also help with the bacteria. Be sure to only take the top layer of the sand, don't go too deep into it. Too deep and you only get unwanted trouble.
