Please forgive my ignorance...is this a school? Just curious...beyond that I would probably sell and restart, can't imagine the reaction of trying to check a 55 gallon and supplies
. I would think no cavity left unchecked
. No matter the situation though...congrats what an experience
no I'm moving there on my choice but i already have a job secured (actuary), Yeah i was thinking maybe selling everything or maybe having it shipped here overnight?

Man that is really neat. Start with some shipping quotes, and then get online and see if you can look up any used stuff in Australia. See if you can figure out what would be more cost effective before you leave. Being an actuary this should be right up your ally... what would be the financial risk of shipping, vs buying new. lol

yeah and how this will affect my life expectancy, lol yeah i work with life insurance, im mainly moving because im getting paid more, moving isnt so bad if it earns you an extra 30k a year, or in fish talk 2000 of flrricordea's ricordea.
if i were you, i would sell everything. i think it would be a pain in the butt to try and ship things. just my two cents.
BTW, your very lucky to go to australia. i hope to one day visit there, or hopefully move there. man, that place looks awesome. good luck bro

So what do you need a reef tank for?!?! Sell everything and buy some scuba equipment!
yeah I'm going to buy a boat when i get there, and go check out the reefs, but i would still like to have my own little piece of reef in my house, but i think i need a chiller.
I would not even think about moving any of the fish stuff to Australia.
1) none of your electrical equipment would work there without heavy duty transformers/adapters. Different voltage in Australia than US
2) better selection of LR/LS/tanks etc locally
3) why go through all the trouble and get there with all fish and corals dead etc.
4) your tank is only 55 gallons. There can't be that many items there that would be worth going through the trouble for.
Just my $0.02 worth

I was there and it was cold as hell. But absolutely georgeous. I would sell it and start over. It would cost you more to ship everything than it would to start over. You livestock would not make it
