Does anyone have stories or reccomendations about how to safely move your tank. My "fish room" is now becoming the "baby room" so I am moving rooms, not homes.
I have a 55g, lr, cc. 2 fish and a handful of hermits.

The thing to use is tupperware. When you get ready to move them, pull your live rock and put it in a large tupperware tub. Get a second tub for the water and fish. Drain some of the water into the tub with the rock. Then fill the rest of the water in the other tub with water from the tank. When enough water is in it to keep the fish in, move the fish over. When the water is drained, move the tank. When you get the tank situated, move the rock back into the tank and and start putting the water back from the tub with the live rock. Put the fish back and ther put the rest of the water back. I have done this in the past and it worked out great. This way you keep your water. This is also the perfect to change some of your water for maintance.

Search for "move", moving (tanks)" in the forums and archives. Also, check out http://www.cyberreefguru.com/reef/move/move.html
for how this guy did a move house-to-house.

And there were a couple of good posts here somewhere, but I can't remember where...
