You get charged .02 cents per Megabyte so depending on the quality you want is what you pay. Most 128K MP3s will run you about 8 to 10 cents each. You can download AAC if you have an Ipod and many other formats. I'm going to open an account there once I get a credit card that allows "disposable" charging.
I use this as well - but I purchase 10.00 per time - the site allows pre purchase in smaller incriments. The download to i tunes to get them to my ipod is a slight PITA but nothing major. Great site and as Tang said the price cant be beat.
iTune charges .99 per song - and meanwhile I download entire CDs for no more then 5.00 from there. The only catch on AllofMP3.com is it takes them slightly longer to get new releases - (Like the INXS new albumn Switch is allready on itunes - but AllOfMP3 wont have it for another month _ in the grand scheme not a big deal)

LOL! What planet do you live on?

I refuse to pay for music. The artists go NO money from selling CD's...the producer gets it all. Artists get the majority of their income from concerts, and for that I am willnig to pay.
The internet is the exchange of information and media. One day you won't be able to even click a link without paying some boob hehe.

They do get money for their CD's, just not until the label is paid off for the signing contract.
Artists get the majority of their money from merchandise.
Yes, most likely someday the internet will be completely run by money hungry nazi's who feel the only fair way for everyone to communicate and share information is to charge for everything. Again, keeping the money and not giving it to those who actually provided the information, but for themselves who only host the information.
