OK...when I got up this morning and checked my tanks, my NEW MP40 wet side was in the sand

Of course I picked it up and realigned it, BUT......The magnet doesn't seem very strong......Has anyone had this issue?
I am at work now, but now will worry LOL.....

sounds like the "meowser syndrone" to me...
did you need to use the pin spacer? I know you said in another thread, but I don't remember. If you did,
should it have been set for a thinner glass perhaps?

Do they stick together without the glass in between?
I feel so bad, you have had so many issues with these things!

It seems I have issues with everything

I did not take the wet side all the way out...I didn't have time this morning
IF it comes apart again, I can test that......
OR I'll just take them apart later of this weekend......

Usually the issue is with the pin spacer. For thick glass on a tank your size the recommendation is to not even use the pin spacer. And since you said you are not using the pin spacer then you might as well send it back if it isn't going to stay. Not to knock your purchase but these powerheads seem to be a bit of a 50/50 hit or miss. Some people say they are the greatest while others have so many problems they end up returning them, sell them, or threatening to toss them in the trash. They have a reputation for quality control issues. If you ever check out the EchoTech Marine forum over on RC and read through the threads you'll find a plethora of people dissatisfied with the product and customer service. Sorry, probably not the answere you were hoping to hear. Just my observations.

I don't blame you, they are nice pumps it seems when all is well with them. This may or may not be the issue here but apparently the vast majority of these pumps where people are having problems with them falling off when the spacer is not the issue were because of a defective ceramic bearing that swells and causes the impellar to lock up and then somehow this causes the wet side to fall. From what I've seen they will send a new replacement wet/side for those with this problem. EchoTech is going to ask you to take apart the pump and send them pictures of the parts to determine if that is what this is.

What was the issue with the 1st one?
They do seem pretty willing to help but geez, if I'm going to spend that kind of money I would hope the thing would work like a charm...at least for a couple of years.

WELL...it's kinda funny.....My starfish got stuck in it and lost a leg
of course I did not tell ecotech that ;) after the star got stuck it didn't work right....it squealed LOL.....BUT I only had it like 2-3 days....so they sent me a new wet side, and I sent the pieces they asked for back
