They are ADVANCE ballasts.I'm not sure how they compare,but I have had NO TROUBLE with them...

that is a very nice setup you have, if you don't mind me asking, in round $'s how much have you invested in that setup

Just the lighting??Probably less than 300 bucks.The entire setup(tank,filters,skimmer,rock and all) probably over 3000.I built alot of it myself.The tank itself was a freebee(cool story).But quite a bit has been added since I last updated the site.I now have TWO 175 MH 10k bulbs.And twice the rock in the photos.About 150lbs of rock now...Plus 130lbs or more of natures ocean live sand...
