Leave the empty shells in the tank. One of the reasons that hermits kill snails is for their shell. Another reason is because they're hungry. Are you feeding your tank at all?

Hermits will usually just start eating / killing snails if the snails were already on their way 'out the door.' How did you acclimate these guys? What is your salinity? Treat anything with copper?
While it is a fact of life that hermits will eat snails, they usually won't unless they are small (narsiss snails, NOT large turbos) or they are dying.

Yeah those crabs must like that snail meat! I bought a cuc package from this site 2 months ago to add to the few things I had and I've noticed alot of murders have happened in my tank, I feed every other day so maybe there getting hungy. I even had a emarald crab take out my brittle star
