Mushroom and Zoo help

About a week ago I purchased a mushroom rock and some zoos. The mushrooms were very large and full when I first got them but now they arent as open. Also the zoos do not fully extend during the daytime. Ive checked my parameters and cannot find the source of the problem.. I also have other corals in the tank including clams and they are all fully extended without problem any ideas. I have recently upgraded my lighting but that was several days ago and they still have not had any positive reactions.

did you check to make sure nothing is around there stinging/irritating it? all levels are in postition including temp,salinity,ph?

My temp is ~80 ph 8.2, salinity 1.025 and it sits on the sand currently with nothing around it.

any little pest within the colony, aipstasia, mojanos...etcetc? some hide VERY well

I checked the colony but did not see anything. When you asked about temp how high would temp get to cause problems b/c my friend has his tank frequently at 84 am I right telling him thats a bad idea or is that not all that bad.

maybe they are still getting accustomed to your tank.

84 is pushing the high side..i keep mine at 82...the above may be correct in saying they are still getting used to your tank, it can at times take an extended period of time for corals to settle in to their new home

I hope so b/c I do not want to lose them they are some of the best I have seen in the market. Thanks for all your help.

What lighting do you have them in and what lighting did they come from? How is the circulation around where they are located in your tank? Are they closer to the light, or near the bottom of your tank?

Both of them sit on the bottom of the tank with mod/low flow. I have them under a mix of PC and T-5 light about 700 watts total for the tank its a typical 180. I dont know what lighting they came from dont remember possibly either MH of VHO.

i have the same lighting has you....in a 100 gallon 4 ft tall tank try moving them up towards the top of the tank some of my zoos are great on the bottom in the sand...but i had some new ones, (beautifull radioactive green ones) that didnt open till i moved them up to the tip top...try some diffrent placements in your tank
