My large toadstool mushroom has not stood up today. Here is a picture below. Yesterday he was standing up straight as an arrow, probably a foot tall, maybe a little bigger. Whats wrong with it?

too big for the stalk and flow of your tank??
why would it be a foot tall? only reason i can think of for that big of a stalk is the thing is light hungry and growing taller to get to the light.

Maybe, I have 2x175w halides, and 2x40w flourescents. I think that should be adequate for a 55 gallon tank. Flow, the return pump is only 800gph, and I have to Koralia #3 PH's. Neither of them are aimed the mushroom or anything so there is no strong flow pushing it over.
If it does not stand up anymore, what should I do. Could I cut a chunk of the stank off and try to get it to reattach to a piece of rock or something. Not sure if you can frag a mushroom like that. I know people usually cut pieces off of the top/head part of the mushroom, can you cut the stalk and have it regrow?

I don't know a lot about leathers...except the one I have (like yours) is growing simultaneously...The head is getting larger, and the base is getting fatter...yours does look a little skinny...Maybe someone who knows more will advise you, but I wouldn't cut it unless I knew for sure....
