Mushroom Coral Placement

I just purchased a fuzzy shroom today its still compacted as it didn't like the transport. Plus my cleaner shrimp was all over it once i placed it in there. The LFS had it placed about 6 inchs from the top of the tank and the water flow was decent but not pushing it around much. It had been there for around 2 months and looked great. I found a sweet spot in mine that is very similar. If it opens up within the next day or 2 ill post a pic.
Did you mail order yours, if not I would try to duplicate the same situation the LFS had it in.

Yeah, mine didnt seem to like being in a area with too much flow. Get them in a low flow area and they will multiply like crazy.

I got a bubble mushroom in the mail yesterday and it opened up within a couple hours. I placed it about 6-8 inches from the top and like others said the flow is not a lot. Just enough to make it sway a little bit.

My observations of mine are just that. Just what I observe.
My Green Fuzzy guy has lived split and grown well in my lowest flow are for a long time. At one time one was nearly a foot across before splitting. A few Reds in the corners in high flow have thankfully been slow to spread and take over, yet Blues close by in a high flow are have expanded and spread like crazy. My Rics on the other hand seem to like a good flow, but not excessive like the Blue ones seem to love.
In other words mine of different types seem to behave differently according to location and type of Mushroom they are. All are in similar light exposure so that is not what is making the difference occur.
