mushroom detaching from rock?

Ive had purple shrooms for about 4 months now, all is good.
One day I noticed the biggest shroom started to pull away from the actual rock I bought it on. NOW it is COMPLETLY off and away from the rock.
Is this normal?

Wherever you had him, he didn't like it... It's normal in the sence that it happens, but it doesn't happen often.

is there any of it left behind? I've had the same happen and it grew into 2.
