I once saw a large aiptsia grab a Pep shrimp. After a few miutes the aiptsia let it go b/c the shrimp was to big. The shrimp looked dazed for a few minutes then went right back after the aiptisia. It was awesome, i wish i got a video or picture of it. In the end the shrimp won!!!

i have a huge elephant ear the did that to a clown goby...
the clown goby wasnt so fotrunate as only a piece of him rolled out of the mushroom when it unfolded! :notsure:

I was just doing some reading on the various mushroom species and the book was talking about how they can catch small fish and what not that way... they think that maybe the secreations kind of numb the prey and then the mushroom does the pruse string fold up and swallows it's prey that way... Also notes that they have measured mushrooms big enough to hold one gallon of water when folded up and they can close up in as little as three seconds... maybe that mushroom wanted to make a mean of that hermit...
