mushroom question

Has anyone ever actually put a mushroom in a blender then dumped it into their tank to spread spores?
What if I were to cut one of my 4-6 inch across mushrooms in half and transplany the half? Would both halves grow into full shrooms?

I think the whole blender thing actually pertains to sponges and not shrooms. If you want more shrooms, just get a pair of clean, sharp scissors or a razorblade and cut the cap off of the mushroom. Put the cap in some crushed coral or on a rock and it will attach in a few days usually. What is left of the base will grow into another shroom. I have never tried cutting it in half across the shroom, no advice there.

I usually just cut dime size or larger chunks off of mine, put them where I want them, and they grow!
