okay so i've had my 10 gallon sw for about a year now and i want some simple corals like mushrooms and other low light polyps.
i stumble around my garage and found a mh light, 70wts, its one of those working in the night type of light, in other words home depot light.

i was wondering if that would work if suplumented with a Coralife 20w mini-compact blue lights
or if it would be wiser to add three Coralife 20w mini-compact 50/50 lights for a total of 60w
My coral wish list is:
Mushrooms (duh)
Yellow Polyps
Zoos
Xenia
i aready have a clown fish

dont use a home depot work light on your tank or you will grow algae and not corals.
Those lights are the wrong color spectrum.
i would go with the compacts u mentioned if all you want to do is grow shrooms you can do that with 60w EZ.

i got a marine-glow t-8, 15w (shines blue), and a power-glo 18000k, t-8 also 15w. thats 30w.............. then i'm going to add a Coralife 20w mini-compact light next week and thats a wopping total of 50w. i can't fit anymore compact lights under my hood, is this sufficiot for any corals including mushrooms, like...........
