Mushrooms getting transparent

:notsure: Some of my mushrooms are getting very light, almost transparent. What could this be? :help: :help: :help: :help:

I've found it can happen when they get too much light as well.
If you recently upgraded lights or if they were accustomed to stronger lights at the LFS; either of these scenarios could be the reason for the loss of color.

NO, I have had them for about 10 months. Forgot to add its a 125 gallon and the bulbs are about 11 months old.

Light should be at least 14 hours per day for any reef tank. Most corals, including shrooms, feed on the products they produce themselves, and need light in proper amounts.
Think of it like grass. Does your grass grow better in short winter days or long summer days?

A 125 gal. is a deep tank, and if your bulbs died a little early and with the short light cycle they aren't getting enough light.
PC bulbs need replaced every 12 months.
Have you tested your water to rule out any problems there?
Increase your light cycle to at least 12 hours a day, but no more than 14 hours.
