What’s the best way to get mushroom coral to grow? I heard that you could put mushroom coral in the blender and drop the peaces in the tank, and they will grow all over the tank, is this true?

ACK! Well, if you add Bacardi....
I've never heard of this method. One method that absolutely works is cutting propogation.
Here's how you do it:
Collect a small container (like a specimen container), super glue, clean scissors, and some paper towel, and 4 small plugs, pieces of rock, or large shells.
Remove the mushroom rock from the water, and cut the mushrooms head off that you want to propogate, cutting as close to the bottom of the stalk that you can. Put the cut off head in the container you have ready filled with tank water.
Put the rock back in the tank :)
Remove the head, and pat it gently with paper towel. It will be SLICK and SLIPPERY as it releases mucus. Cut it across the middle (like a pizza) into 4 pieces. Put a good amount of glue on the plug, shell or whatever you're attaching the cuttings to, and gently press one mushroom cutting onto it. Hold it for about 30 seconds. If you have glue that works underwater, do it in the container, if not, its okay. Repeat for the other 3 cuttings.
Place them back in the tank. In about 2 weeks, the mushroom that was decapitated will grow a new head, and your new cuttings should show signs of regrowth. In about 2 months, you'll have 5 mushrooms.

A few drops of iodine in the water that you drop the head into helps the healing process. And just a little trick that I use on the stub. If you take a razor and split the stub after it heals over it will grow at least 2 more musrooms from the stub. I think you could split it again after that and get four mushrooms.
I've never had much luck with trying to glue softies. If you place the frags in a bowl with some rocks they will attach in a couple of days. You can also use bridal vial to hold them down until they attach. And lastly, don't cringe, take a hook or needle and some 2 lb test and string the frags together and tie them to a rock. After a few days they will attach and you can remove the fishing line.
I have seen one post on here that talks about using a blender. While I believe that this might work it will take weeks to see the little fellows and no telling where they will take up residence in your tank. Lastly mushrooms grow and divide pretty fast when they are happy. If you put a blender full in a tank you might get more than you bargined for in the end. My understanding is that a single healthy cell is all that is needed for the asexual reproduction of the mushroom. I am trying a experiment in my tank with ricordia and a few cells on a rock and in the two weeks since I placed him in the tank he is just now starting to look like a mushroom again. It's no bigger that the end of pencil lead but it's growing!

If you go to the fabric store and say "bridal vail fabric" they may look at you like you're on crack. :)
You need to ask for "Tulle". It is a fabric that looks like netting with tiny, tiny holes. Just ask for tulle, and the fabric store should hook you up. I have no clue what it costs, it's scary enough I know what the "Wedding vail" fabric is called. lol.
You can actually secure the tulle with a rubber band. Just bunch it up under the rock, wrap the rubber band around it like you would to close a bag.
FWIW, I hate the thought of gluing anything to a rock. how would you feel if someone glued your feet to some place?! :)
