Good question. Sometimes they are called mushroom anemones or disc anemones. According to Borneman, in his book aquarium corals there is still scientific controversy. I quote, "They are part of a taxonomic nightmare and difficult to identify with any degree of accuracy." I guess they have the same anatomy as stony corals without the long tentalcles. Any way they are easy to keep.
