is it ok to put two mushrums on the same rock? i mean like a brown one and a purple one, or will one hurt the other?

No problem at all, IMO!!! Just a few days ago i saw the long piece of rock with about 5-6 different mushrooms in my LFS.

Sure- if they are the same kind- i.e same genus- you can mix diff genuses but i have seen stinging occur

I agree with Barracuda I have seen many atime at my LFS rocks for sale with several different species of musroom on them!
