soon to be a mini reef
been running for about a week
so far just the amonia is only up to .25 thats the only bad thing
i got lr from my lfs and it was cured but not all the way cured so i did not have to pay as much. i only going to use 8 lbs of lr.
For the fish alls i want is
2 black clowns and thats it and im going to frag some corals for my other tank and put it in there.
I got it started faster by using my other fish tank water and filled the tank up half way.

Let me clarify, my clarkii's are in there temporarily, they are my first clowns, I watched them frolick and play with their anemone for a few weeks, I think they really liked me, so they followed me home from the lfs. I have them in the 10 only while I get the 30 ready for them. I have had a few setbacks so it has taken longer than I anticipated. They are still really small and I am very diligent with checking my water parameters and water changes. I also have an awesome well balanced clean up crew in there as well. The tank was originally set up just for crabs, snails, a little scooter blenny, and some feather dusters to keep in my office for a little stress relief.
Before getting my clowns, I read that Clarkii's can actually get as large as 4" - 6", I can't wait for them to mature. I really have enjoyed the clowns, they are so fun to interact with and I get to keep all my fingers, lol.

i find people rarely answer questions here.
depends on what kind of clowns you get. Percula and Ocellaris clowns can be put in a 10 gal, two at most. others are too big for a 10 gal

The Black clowns are Percula clowns, just breed to be all black. I have two ocellaris clowns in mine and they are doing great. I think that they would be fine just as long as they are not both large(female).
No on the clowns in the 25 gallon tank they will beat each other up.
Sorry I just say that your tank has been up only a week. I would wait a bit to get them in your tank.

Too bad about the dottyback, but thats not your fault.
Tank looks better with the new rock IMO.
