IMO not much point in naming the cleaner wrasse he wont be around long enough to learn his name. he's going to starve to death quite fast in that system. I believe thats snakes point in naming him Dead. because he's probably not going to last very long.

Do some research and let us know what you find out about cleaner wrasse survival.

fourth one down gives a pretty good idea of survival rates.

Well, all you non-believers, we shall see. He is eating EVERYTHING I feed to my tank. He eats mysis, raw table shrimp and seaweed blend. We shall see these "survival rates".

cleaner wrasse are obligate feeders.
Obligate feeders only feed on a very specific diet. In the case of cleaner wrasses, this diet consists of common parasites found on reef fish. Without a steady diet of these parasites the fish will starve to death. Even if it is offered and accepts alternative foods it doesn't get all the nutrients that it requires to survive and will slowly starve to death.

ReefkprZ is right. It will not get the nutrients it needs in order to survive long term. Ive only seen cleaner wrasses do well in large systems - 600+ gallon tanks with lots and lots of fish.
Good luck to yah though!

I am pulling for him and you. And we will definitley find out. It seems that even if they are eating prepared food they will still die of malnutrition. They are not like cleaner shrimp where they will do some cleaning for food. The bluestreak cleaner wrasse is an "obligate" feeder.
This is from Dr. jungle from the Animal-World website.
Unlike 'facultative' cleaners such as cleaner gobies and cleaner shrimp, cleaner wrasses are 'obligate' feeders. Facultative cleaners engage in removing parasites from other fish but this in not their primary diet. For 'obligate' cleaners such as these wrasses, the cleaning activity provides them with their primary source of food. Most of the Labroides will accept prepared foods, but still starve due to malnutrition.
No one here is trying to flame you. They just want you do be aware of the issues keeping this fish in the home.
