It has a 24 watt JBJ PC for now...i might mod it for another.
Thats actually a small rose anemone.
It has the built in wet/dry filtration system, and i have a protein skimmer hooked up to it. This is the JBJ Nano Cube system...great nano tank for the money. I also have a wave maker set up with a maxi jet mp 400 power head.
The tank has:
a clown,
a 3 stripe damsel (survivor from cycling who hasnt been messing with anything, so i figured he could stay)
Orange Lankia star,
25 hermits,
12 snails,
rose anemone,
some misc shrooms,
and a few polyps etc

just out of curiousity why is the linkia doomed? my girl wanted me to put one in our tank (10 Gal with probably 35lb LR, 20 LS). BTW great looking tank!!

linkia starfish have a poor survival rate in captivity, but it can be done given the proper attention. But no chance in such a small tank. They are algae grazers that IMO require at a minimum, 100lbs of LR or so to forage over in order to really thrive. If you look at pictures of linkias in the wild you will notice that their arms are just massive, they look like they have been inflated. This is a sign of good health. Notice that you never, or rarely see this in captivity. The misleading part is that these starfish can take up to a year before they starve to death which gives the false impression that they are doing fine. I would not attempt any starfish in a tank less than 20 gallons. even then I would stick with the scavengers like serpents or brittles.

i would always check with someone to get their opinions on livestock that i put in the tank, and i never ask LFS (haven't found a trust worthy one yet)
