Alright guys, after 2 months I finally got some pics of my tank. And my LR which will be going in my tank next week. I had a lot of die off.
But it still looks good. Tell me what you think!

looks great but i would suggest going to the LFS and getting soe LR with A LOT of coralline algae on it, because i doubt youll get any out of that.

You should have 1 to 1 1/2 lbs per gallon so I'd say if you want to get a few more lbs of cured LR that has lots of coralline you should be good.

my suggestion, get a bottle of Purple Up! With your rock being as devoid as it is, you need all the help you can get!

Alright...I will admit that I DO NOT KNOW how to get live rock started, but...Shouldn't there be some kind of light on the tub of rocks ??
What will make it live...is there something that seeded it?? And why couldn't this have been done in the tank itself ??

I would suggest to add some LBS of LR in there at the bottom of those rocks and will help the coraline and turn into LR faster......JMO

It is already LR, but it just lost so much color because my old serivce guy made me keep it in that bin for so long with no light.

I think some people are confused,
What is in the tank is baserock, looks like Tuffa, The stuff in the rubbermaid is LR, and it looks fine, there will be plenty of coralline that will grow out of the LR that you have.
I maintain about 7 tanks on the side. I think your guys is a little too cautious, but usually you find it the other way around.
LR does not need a light to be live, the "live" part of LR is the bacteria and the amphipods and copepods and they don't need light to live. People mistakenly think coralline is an indication of good LR when it is actually an indication of good balance of alk, pH, and Ca, in fact coralline incrusted rock probably hinders some of the biological capabilities of good LR because it covers up the nice porus rock. Coralline is just a bonus, it has no real value in a tank other than asthetics and in fact becomes a nuisance in most tanks.
All the color will come back on that rock, and as long as your ammonia levels in your LR storage bin are fine I see no reason why you cannot put it in the tank.

Correct, the baserock is in the TANK and the LR is in the RUBBERMAID BIN. So my LR is ok? Good, I was worried that everything died off and I wouldn't get nothing out of it like some of htese people were saying.

Yar, I was gonna say....thats alot of die-off, cuz that rock looks like bleached! lol. Definitely base rock....I've seen pet solutions selling a 50# box of that stuff for like 45 bux.
Anyway, good luck with it :) Bowfronts rule!
