My 2 Moray Didn't Eat Since Last Thursday

I had them for 1 month in my 20 gallons they were perfectly eatjng Prawns,Little Anchovies until they stopped eating i also found out that the Aquarium had a sudden Nitrite Spike so the next day i did a 20% Water Change and they still wont eat

Do i gonna need a Protein Skimmer? i was worried that they are not eating and was getting a little bit skinny .the species is Chainlink Moray Eel

The tank is far too small for two of them. Water quality and cramped conditions are the issue

The nitrite spike was probably preceded by an ammonia spike. I agree with Jay you need a much bigger tank.

I didn't cycled my tank for 4-6 weeks and the ammonia was high since last week so i decided to release them back to their home because they are Wild Caught

I released them earlier back in the shallow part of the beach because i didn't cycled my tank and i will inquire my godfather's long 55 gals with stand and sump

plus i decided to buy Clownfish pair when my tank is fully cycled what tank mates are good to them?
