Folks, I have been into SW for a little over a year now, having kept FW tanks for many years before. I have learned a lot in the past year, much of that gleaned from this board. Thanks to all.
Anyway, here are a few pics.
I built the cabinet and canopy using cabinet grade oak. The cabinet top is reinforced inside with 2"X2" pine as well as some thick angle aluminum I had laying around. I put several coats of poly on the cab & canopy inside and out.

I recently added my first corals(mushrooms & lt plate). Not really too fancy looking yet, but I like it so far and I'm trying to take things slowly. The reddish rock is some base rock I added a few months ago. It has acquired a fair amount of life at this point.
