Hey all!
Since my tank is getting closer to becoming "fish-ready" lol ive made a potential list of inhabitants,id love to know if anyone has had any experiences with any of the combos or with the particular fish in general!
Also if you think you know a good order for introduction id love to hear that too, dwarf angel would def. be last but im not sure about the rest!
My tank is a 45g Tall,*FOWLR for now* with about 50 pounds of LR, and a 2 inch or so sand bed, heres my potential list (im picking all fairly small fish):
1 Purple Firefish
1 Midas Blenny
1 Longnose Hawkfish
1 Sixline Wrasse/other small reef safe wrasse, suggestions welcome!
1 Flame Angel/possibly Coral Beauty
1 Royal Gramma (if room is availble)

dont have any experience with any of these except for the 6 line wrasse.... and those are great, you'll love that one... Also, not sure if you have a cleanup crew, but that is a must have and maybe a cleaner shrimp or neon goby as a prevention of ich. Not to say that it will prevent it all together, but it might help out a little..
Just take it slow when adding fish, I learned that the heard way!

Ill def have a cleaning crew :joy: ,im thinking 2 hermits,5 or so snails and possibly a cleaner shrimp,id love one but im afraid the hawkfish would eat him!!
Im gonna take it slow on adding them too,ive heard alot of disaster stories from people getting trigger happy with fish buying, and ill def. not be an impulse buyer! im thinking ill start with either the firefish or blenny and wait a month or so after that until considering adding the next fish :)

i love how active my royal gramma is.
i'm up in the air between flame angel and coral beauty. firefish truely are happier with more than one in the tank, but are happy solo as well. do you have something covering your tank to prevent jumpers?
the 6line can also eat shrimp.
if i can make a suggestion before you buy any fish, grab Scott Michael's "Reef Aquarium Fishes". it tells you what fish are compatible with, what they eat, and a brief description of most fish. i think this website sells it, if not the big book store website definitely does.

im thinking of perhaps getting the gramma as my first fish, but are they aggressive to the point that i may have trouble introducing the next fish? They really are beautiful!
I dont have anything to prevent jumpers yet,im gonna get some of that eggcrate that was recommended though
i did hear the pairing thing about firefish too..id prefer to have a single firefish but perhaps ill think about doing a pair of normal firefish instead of the 1 purple,i dont want sad fish! :(! As for that book,i think ive seen it! My friend is the lead aquarium manager at the dread......*looks around* ..***** o.o......shhh dont tell anyone! lol id never buy a fish from there but she actually is pretty knowledgeable! I think they sell that book there! Ill go take a peek..my tank is pretty much done cycling...im too nervous to put the first fish in though! lol
