ive considered it, but im not real sure on it, and the sunpod is nice, but, i prefer the customizability of T5HO's :p ive seen a few tanks in person, both lit with t5's an with mh, an to me, the t5ho's are a lot nicer, especially in a nice shallow tank like a 20 long lol

I was not believable... I thought about posting up silencio's tank drilling disaster pics as a joke though hahaha. "I tried to salvage what I had and grabbed a 55gallon lying around and it shattered when I tried drilling."

not going to lie, the move didnt go well. I should have taken more water out of the tank when i drove home. The sand got stirred up a good amount i think. I just got done putting the coral and fish and shrimp in the temp is up to about 72. The water the fish and stuff were in was a little warmer so i hope it wont be too shocking. Everything looks pissed off as hell. Im very stressed about all this. The rocks have a lot of particulate matter on them. I plan on doing a water change tomorrow and getting some lugols to dip my zoa's to see if that helps them.
ill update in the morning. any suggestions on anything that may help is appreciated

i did, the rocks just have a greyish color to them. Just accumulated stuff i need to blast off and siphon. The corals are all clear and everything. My plan is to just leave it alone and mix up some water and everything. Then turkey baster all the rocks and everything to get the debris left over floating and siphon a good gallon to a gallon and a half of water out and replace it with new water. Prior to that i also wanna do a quick rescape because I just rushed it today.
On a brighter note the new polyp i got on my way home opened up along with almost everyone else. Only one zoa frag was still closed as of like 10 minutes ago. Im running the lights till like 2-3am tonight to help get the temperature back up and also let the corals get some light. I'll leave them off until the usual time tomorrow and then get them back on schedule. The goby was also swimming about, still looked kinda iffy but at least he was moving around.
This is going to be a long week

on another brighter note, if everything makes it fine i might be getting an Armageddon frag sometime soon : D
oh yeah and that new polyp i got today was just 1 head of a chameleon people eater. it looks pretty sick
heres a picture, credit goes to jason the guy i got it from.

yeah, we will see how it looks under my crappy pc lighting. Thats under MH i think...it looked good under the guys tek lights too. lets just hope the thing lives after that move.
Im about to go mix up about a gallon or two of salt water. Then go to my lfs and see if i can pick up a new bag of carbon and maybe some filter floss. Definitely going to run filter floss when i take the tank back to school, i think that will really help things out with the initial set up. Also going to buy some mysis or something other then flake food, i wanna spot feed everything for the month im home since i have a freezer to use.

Just did a 1and a half gallon water change. I somehow came up short on water so im gunna go buy a 1 gallon jug of ro/di water from the grocery store until i can go get my bucket filled at the lfs tomorrow. Also dipped all my zoanthids in iodine that i got today so hopefully that helps. Also somehow the flow on my filter became strong and started to blow sand where normally it didnt so that kinda frustrating me.

well today most of my zoanthids opened up and were looking alright-pretty good. Some still look crappy which is frustrating me. Ever since the move the tank just doesnt look the same everything, even if its open and happy just looks off? I need to buy new carbon and mess a little more with it i think but for now im trying to just leave it and let stuff settle down. I plan to either dip tonight or tomorrow again because i dont see how it would hurt. Funniest thing, i got that Chameleon People Eater, it was fragged like the day before i got it. When i got it i just tossed it in my styrofoam box as i was driving home from school to my house it wasnt acclimated at all. Then tossed it in my tank that had just been moved so im sure the water that night blew. Out of all my corals its in the top2 right now for looking the happiest. So strange

bought some frozen mysis, a new carbon bag and had some fun today. Changed out the carbon, good thing i had gloves on because there was a big ol bristle worm sitting on the old carbon. Then i got bored and decided to try and spot feed my coral. I only used 2 small pieces of mysis. The ricordia gobbled it up in a matter of minutes and the zoas that i tried failed to take it. I think next time im going to cut the mysis in half and try and spot feed the zoanthids again.
